Osteopathy
Reduce pain and restore function
Osteopathy is a hands-on approach to healthcare, recognising the important link between the structures of your body & the way it functions. An Osteopath uses a combination of manual therapy techniques and treatment modalities in order to reduce pain, improve mobility and assist recovery by manipulating and massaging the muscles, joints and spine. Osteopaths use extensive anatomical and physiological knowledge, along with skilled clinical evaluation to assess and diagnose the source of pain. They look at the whole body for the causes of injury, as well as any possible barriers to recovery.

Dry Needling
Dry needling is a scientifically proven method used to treat myofascial pain. This approach is based on anatomical and neurophysiological principles. During treatments very thin needles are inserted into areas of tension in the muscles in order to relieve nerve entrapment, improve circulation and increase tissue oxygenation. This in turn aids in the removal of waste products from tissues and the overall improvement in biochemical function. Dry needling can be an extremely effective tool in the treatment of acute, chronic and referred pain and can result in decreased inflammation and improved mobility.

Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a very gentle, hands on method of evaluating and enhancing the body’s physiological function. The craniosacral system consists of membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that extend from the cranium through to the sacrum. CST applies fascial manipulation techniques to these and other areas of the body in order to increase parasympathetic activity and release myofascial structures. By calming the central nervous system, CST looks to reduce pain, improve the body’s natural healing processes and restore a sense of general wellbeing.

Deep Tissue Massage
Massage is a well-known tool used to ease muscle tension and to help promote circulation and relaxation. Our expert manual therapists also use Deep tissue massage to assist in the prevention and treatment of injuries and to release myofascial trigger points in the muscle tissues, which can lead to pain and postural dysfunction.

Corrective Exercises
Our expert therapists utilise their understanding of anatomy and biomechanics to help assess the root cause of your dysfunction. By identifying these issues we can help address compensations and imbalances in order to improve the overall quality of your movement in your workouts and everyday life. The use of a tailored corrective exercise programme can help align posture, mitigate stress on the body and decrease the risk of future injuries.
